yea sorry bout that.....here it is....
yeah, this seams like it is easy for every one to make( probably would of been a good idea to put this tut in the newbie section, to easy for the people who look for tuts here)

TruePaintNetta,
Awesome job, didnt think that my tutorial could acually do something cool like that. I should try messing around with the random shape filler.:paint-can-paint-brush:

On topic: Wow, looks very nice. I will have to try this.
Off topic: I absolutely love your sig and avatar!
Thanks, I actually have about ten more random sigs somewhere on my computer in all different styles

I read a tut on the forum teaching how to make lightning, and I made an (edited) easier version of it. Then I simply turned it into an orb
Plugins youll need:
Outline Object-My link
Shape3D-My link
1st we need to resize the canvas. I use a 1000x1000 canvas but you can use other sizes(this tutorial is setup for the 1000x1000 canvas)
next make the background black( hex code 404040) and add a new layer. This will make it easier to make the lightning.
Next we are going to make the base of the lightning. us blue ( hex code 0066AF) and use brush size 80 and make lines that look like the shape of lightning. Then make branches of off those with brush size 60
Now we are going to add a lighter blue. Use hex code 0082E0 and draw over the lines with size 50 the the base and 35 for the branches
Now we are going to make an even lighter blue over the lines. Use hex code 0094FF. Use size 30 for the base, and size 15 for the branches
Next we are going to make the center of the lightning. Use hex code 8ED0FF. Us size 7 over all the lines
Now we are going to make it glow. Use the glow effect and use these settings:20-100-40
now again but with these settings:10-60-negative 60
Now we are going to outline. use outline object with these settings:95-255, Colors:100-180-255
now we delete our bottom layer and we are done with the lightning
Now run Shape3D
I included the link to the xml here:
Filefront-My link
attachment-energyball.xml
and if for any reason it does not work, here are the settings-full sphere map, axis 2 is 90degrees, and lights are unchecked
Now for the final outline. run outline object with these settings:100-255, color:100-180-255
the finished product should look like this(Sorry, forgot to resize.)
You can use it in other ways like this:
Please try it and expirement with other colors. Post your attempts and questions

This is how to make a simple sig that looks good and has a glossy effect to it.
You will need these effects
object outline
align object
The final product will look something like this
First start out with a blank canvas that is 1000x200, or 500x100 if you don't want to resize it later
then fill it in with any color you want
then add a new layer :AddNewLayer: and draw a filled :ShapeInterior: eclipse
that is white over the top half of the new layer
Then go to linear gradient :LinearGradient: (set it as transparent) and drag from the top down
Then add a new layer between your to current layers and type text into it any color you want
now go into object outline and add an outline any color with these settings
width-3
softness-123
then go back to object outline and select black and use these settings
width-20
softness-255
then use align object on your text layer and test it to center
Finally flatten it and if you used a 1000x200 canvas then resize it to 500x100 so it can be used in a forum
Now you should have this
others you can make
Please post your own to

Ok, one question that I could never figure out, what exactly is a tut? :?
-
This is my first tutorial, so I will try to do this correctly
The effects required are
Outline object-http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?p=123175
This is what we will be making.
first start out with a blank canvas 500x500
Pick the color of your choice and fill it in
Then add a new layer :AddNewLayer: and type in two or three letters
Then choose magic select
and set it to add and select your letters then go to your your buttom layer and press delete and press
on your text layer.
next make a new layer :AddNewLayer: and fill it in with a collor that is a dark grey but not black or else it will ruin the picture
Move the layer to the bottom
Add a new layer on top and fill it in with the same dark color
Then go into radial gradient
and set it to transparent
drag from the bottom right hand corner and almost up to your lettering
Add a new layer :AddNewLayer: and fill it in with white
Then do a radial gradient
from the top to almost the lettering
select your layer with the color and text and use object outline
set it to width-15 and softness-255 and set the color to pure black, all other settings remain default
Flatten and resize if you want to and you should get this
Please make your own and post them

Here is my try.
It took me about 3 times before I actually did it correctly. Awesome tut, and I have no clue how you figured out the combinations of effects to make this. The full size image is 1440 by 900. My computer could barelly edit it.
