I know nothing about paint.net...where can I find the watermark plug in?

I am trying to create a simple watermark for my photos. I would like to be able to make a watermark, save it as a file, then just add it to photos as I go. I have made a few already, but not happy with the results. I keep ending up with a gray box with the text i want...how do I avoid that? I just want the lettering. I would greatly appreciate any help!
