And now you know my problem.
-
I don't know about drawing. I was doing some cropping and resizes. I don't want to paint over the photos.
-
And if I wanted to start every image new, that might work. But sometimes I am working with existing image.
-
This image shows what I was talking about.

If I close a changed file, it would help if I could get the option to not just save the file, but save it with a new name (Save As rather than Save). Currently, I have to Save As and then close the file. It would work smoother the other way as I wouldn't have to remember that I want to change the name.

Yes, I know. We've had this problem many, many times. Try it...I bet it'll work. ;-)
Image is done now. Too late. Is a bug filed?

My guess: It's a really small selection. Am I right? :-P
I don't know why, but on really small selections, resize ends up happening. You don't have to click on the selection; clicking and dragging anywhere in the window with a selection active will work.
Under 20x20, but I zoomed into 376%. At that res, even 10x10 takes up plenty of space.

Well, I found I can move it with the keyboard. Why not the mouse? There was plenty of space between the handles. Bad testing of the mouse location?

I pasted in a bitmap into my image. But the default location of the top-left corner won't work. When I try to drag the selection with either Move Pixels or Move Selection, I end up resizing the selection. Even though the "Move Selection" tool name implies you can move the selection, that doesn't seem to be the case. I don't understand why I am having problems.
Add an option to the "Do you want to save this file" dialog?

That is a workaround--no more.
