I'm trying to use Paint.Net for digital scrapbooking. When I try to cut and paste an image that's relatively small (e.g. 2x2 inches) into a new layer on the page I'm working on, the new layer eventually resizes to the size of the background, which is 12x12 inches. This wouldn't be that big of a deal, except when I try to reposition the new layer it's a total memory hog and really slows down the process. Is there a way to lock the size of a layer?
I'm really new to this software so any insight is greatly appreciated!
