You are right, that flame and smoke effect completely depends on some layers and smudge effect
And the "green" on the second one, well, that was yellow actually, and something happened to it

How do I make an armor texture?

Hello Paint.NET community, I greet you all with respect,
I am currently making an "armor" like in the medieval times, but it just doesn't seem realistic in a way, gradients are too plain. Is there any way to make an armor texture, and it looks polished, like real?
