My first try at editing pictures on Paint.net.

I tried to colorize a black and white photo of Andy and Barney.

I tried to make the finished product look as realistic as possible, adjusting the brightness and contrast and such.

I am fairly new to this and I was just wondering if someone could explain exactly what to do with the plugins. I downloaded a few and saved the files to my computer, but what do I do with them next?
