  1. Sry that it take me so long, I was quite busy.

I tried Ricks method first, but I already thought it would not lead to success (Sry for that Rick :)) because I was quite sure to got PDN installed correctly.

In fact it only overwrote the first Installation, not uninstalled and reinstalled.

So I tried brads method(german language file just available today, good that I was busy) but that wasn´t the complete solution because every filetype selected during installation had PDN already as editor.

But as you can see in the image, vista has categorys and in there, the old paint was still editor, I changed it and it works.

    file.php?mode=view&id=3004&sid=68504ec5ae3da336294e15b9275327c8

So thanks brad for your tips, you explained just fine.

But by the way, you can double-click on the edit-row and point through the explorer to the .exe of the program. In my Opinion this is easier because you don´t have to think about the "1" at the end and the quotes.

FTM is really fast for loading 600 endings :)

  2. Hi,

I´ve a small annoying problem with PDN. As you know during the installation you can choose to set PDN as the default Editor for several file types. I checked all which were there but it don´t works.

Everytime I rightclick on an image(.bmp .jpg .png, I didn´t test .tga(I think this was the last one which I could choose PDN as editor for) because I don´t use it.) and choose edit the normal Microsoft Paint starts up.

Would be really nice to have this fixed. Until the next release maybe (hopefully) fix it, where to set it manually in the registry?

    Thanks

  3. get a crash in 3.20 alpha:

    File: C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects\Sharpen+.dll

Seems that normal sharpen effect doesn´t work too, after this crash

  4. I've changed my mind for this plugin and instead drawing each pixels, I'm

I think that is what makes the first version looks better. The circles can only have one color and even if the color is semi-transparent(?) you get those hard borders, which don´t look as good as the GIMPs G-Flare.

I think you can make it smoother/softer(what ever is the right word might be....) if you use many circles with a small increment. But it would be even better if you draw the border pixel per pixel or don´t use circles like the first version.

I don´t know how fast it is, still not testet. Maybe make a quality and a speed mode?

@Fisherman´s Friend: I thought Madjik already made a stars plugin, just a little hidden in an other plugintopic. But this may be not the stars you mean.

[EDIT]And sorry for all the critisim, I just thought it may help. I love your plugins and hopefully I have the time to test this on and the GenTree soon.

  5. this should be switched.

it may be logcal, becaus if you onlly use the outline the color of these is the bottin you use, but if you set to interior is´t really not intuitive to have the secondary color as "filling". And that is what is allways praised about paint.net.

  6. Hi,

I think you all know, that when you zoom away from the image, that there is a grey space around the picture. When you zoom in, the space disappears.

I think it would be nice if there would be a little space around the image, because working nearly the task bar is not as easy as working in the middle of the screen, my opinion.

And now, printing, I know you hate this and I know you heard it maybe more than 1000 times, but the print-assistant is really sh**, because you cannot print in the original size, thats why I have to use the old Paint for printing. When you use Paint.Net, you have to decide to zoom or cut the picture, so that it uses one sheet.

I think it would be better if the programe defines a Pixelsize for A4-sheets, so that you can print without resizing the image.

  7. Hi, I hope I can do this in English...

If you use the function which make squares and circles etc, not marking but drawing, and you use the option, to fill that figure, without lines auround, the colors are switched, I mean you have to use the other mouse button to get the color you want.
