[Chrome Text with Reflections]

Thanks, my friend!  That did the trick and I'm much happier with my end result.  I put a glow effect layer on top, blended, and added some white starts to make it pop.  I'm much happier now.

this is cool thanks!  For some reason I cannot get mine to look as good as yours though.  On step 5 it says duplicate the line layer 3 times - so is that gonna be the base lettering or the outline for it?  when i try it with the outline layer duplicated 3 times it doesn't work, when i try it with the base text letter 3 times it seems to work?

Thanks for this!  I've been struggling to make chrome effects.

 

One thing that is throwing me in the tutorial:  on step 9 it says to duplicate the text layer 2 times and erase the letters on each layer.  I'm not sure what to do with that; if I delete that everything is gone?  I ended up keeping everything on each layer and doing the texture shader on all 3 with different settings, then ended up using opacity on the layers to blend them. 

 

The result looks ok, but not looking as good as some of the examples I see here.  Thanks!!!
