[Control zoom with just scroll wheel]

When I use the scroll wheel it used to just zoom in and out but now it scrolls up and down instead. I know I can use ctrl + scroll to zoom but is there a way to set it so I can zoom with just scroll the scroll wheel.

Looks like you're using some kind of window theming software like WindowBlinds. Those are known to cause all sorts of issues.

 

The cursor appearing as a diamond could be caused by that -- maybe it's messing with the Direct2D transform, or the ellipse/circle tessellation.

 

So, try disabling WindowBlinds and see if that helps.

I dont have WindowBlinds but it fixed itself some how. I still dont know what caused the problem though.
