If you have my plugin pack installed, you can do it this way:
Select the area where you want to draw your gradient.
Ctrl+C to copy that area to the clipboard
Draw your gradient not worrying about alpha.
Effects > Object > Paste Alpha (options: Replace current alpha with alpha on clipboard)

Here I dragged two photos, on first you have piece of elipse that was colored black, then I used magic wand tool, selected whole elipse and used gradient and on the second photo you can see that the whole elipse has the same alpha, but originally the elipse had alpha lower on the corner. I want to use gradient on the elipse and keep the original alpha on the corners.

I want to make an elipse and make gradient but everytime i do that, it makes gradient but corners change from alpha for example 20 to 100 so it makes the elipse look pixelated. Is there any way to make gradient on some shape but keep the different opacity on corners?
