    Ctrl+C to copy that area to the clipboard

    Draw your gradient not worrying about alpha.

    Effects > Object > Paste Alpha (options: Replace current alpha with alpha on clipboard)

    Thank you, I installed your plugin and it works.

  2. Here I dragged two photos, on first you have piece of elipse that was colored black, then I used magic wand tool, selected whole elipse and used gradient and on the second photo you can see that the whole elipse has the same alpha, but originally the elipse had alpha lower on the corner. I want to use gradient on the elipse and keep the original alpha on the corners.
