Except Cc4, the "right way of doing things" doesn't apply here. It's not wrong to want a tool to auto-Finish if it's otherwise more work. For instance, your "new habit" workaround does not help when using the Shape tool. I use the Shape tool over and over while cleaning up the background on music album covers I've downloaded. I never need to stretch or rotate the shape after I draw it. The way the program works now, if I forget to click off or click Finish each time, I end up rotating the last shape when trying to draw a new shape. Then I have to Undo and begin again. That's 2 or more steps for a single shape and thus a lot of carpal tunnel to draw 20 or 30 consecutive shapes.
An "Auto-Finish" option would be very welcome. -
Nice plugin but overkill. A simple "rotate by line" is sufficient for common rotation tweaks.

I third this, but with a higher priority. I need to tweak rotations often and the "trial & error/eyeball" method is clumsy and inaccurate.

Very nice plugin but seems overkill for us regular folk. WCityMike's explanation of "rotation by line" is exactly the feature I used in a past bitmap editor (don't remember which). I found it simple and intuitive. I rotate often in Paint.Net and currently have to tweak rotation values until the image "appears" straight. A bit clumsy and inaccurate.
[FEATURE REQUEST] A polygon selection tool

I just want to grab a corner handle of a rectangle selection and move it independently from the other three corner handles, thus making it a non-rectangular 4-sided polygon selection. This "move vertex" is a basic function in CAD. Example: I have a photo of a rectangular object, such as a wall painting or LP album cover, but the photo was not taken squarely. Stretching a corner or two slightly would bring the image into plum. Rotate/Zoom command works for me in some cases, but it's limited to emulating the moving of a single vertex +x/+y or -x/-y, not +x/-y or -x/+y. The plugins and workarounds are overly complex for such a basic move. How do I go about making an enhancement request?
