    You Will Need:

     

    GROBOLD Text http://www.dafont.com/grobold.font

    DropShadow Effect http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/8375-drop-shadow-and-other-effects-krisvdms-plugin-pack-updated-2010-10-26/

     

     

    STEP 1

    Create a new Image

    Write your desired text, In whatever color you want. (This effects works best with Lighter colors)

    The Effect works best with the GROBOLD Font

     

    STEP 3

    Create the first drop shadow, It should be a dark grey, and not black, with a Blur radius of 0, and a Widening radius of 6

     

    STEP 4

    Add a second drop shadow, This time it should be black, and should have a Widening radius of 5

    Make sure your on a new layer

    Create a black ellipse that covers the bottom half of the text

    Hide the layer with the ellipse on it, by removing the X in the box by the layers

    Now highlight the inside part of the text

    Make the ellipse visible again.

    Make sure the ellipse layer is selected, while the inside of the text is still selected

    Using the move tool, move the selected part away from the ellipse. It should like it does above.

    Now erase the rest of the ellipse

    Drag the black selection back on to the rest of the text

    Change the opacity of the black selection layer to around 40

    There you go, That is the finished product

     

    This effect can be achieved in Photoshop a lot easier, but i like to use it more in Paint.Net. In photoshop its hard to get the rounded look off of the text.
