  1. Bob there are small tools allowing this on the screen level. Google for "Windows Crosshair".

    Typically you can switch on and off the crosshair with a shortcut.

  2. Sorry Bob, there's currently no way to do that.

    Are you after fixed guidelines or do you want a dynamic cross hair? The status bar does show the cursor position. Is that useful?

    Hi I Was Thinking, It was dynamic cross-hairs I was after, and have now found this via Google, as suggested by Midora, above. Thanks for the Welcome :)
