I found this but I can't vouch for its correctness:

    Many thanks.

I found this too but it seams to be not working for me. 😞

    Installation isn't working on intune.

I am a bit surprised, as the installation via MSI in my ActiveDirectory works wonderfully without any command line argument.

But with Intune I've no luck.

Is the failure happening on a single client system, or for the entire network?

    Sorry for pending...

I'm testing the deployment first with only ohne client.

Today I try again with 5.0.8 (MSI) in user-mode.

    Intune settings:

Initialize isntallation with business portal which shows "downloading" and then "installing" but this never ends. 😞

There is no error and only a information in the event log:

  3. Hello @all,

I tried to publish paint.net 5.0.7 in Microsoft Intune but get a installation failure. 🥲

I've used the MSI-file with these command line arguments:

    Quote

    /auto DESKTOPSHORTCUT=0 CHECKFORUPDATES=0

The installation should run automatically in the background as system.

A distribution by GPO in my local domain works very well without any command line argument.

Did someone deploy paint.net with Intune and can give me a hint?

    Many thanks

  4. Good morning,

I updated my clients from 4.2.8 to 4.2.9 with GPO and MSI (x64) file.
But after restart and long install time the clients get the DLL-error in the middle:

    paint-net.jpg

I can repair this but I need administration rights for that.

So I try to publish the application again with the same result. :(

Note that the installation on new clients (which doesn't have paint.net before) works very well.

Now I uninstalled all 4.2.9 and my clients are back on 4.2.8.

    Anyone with the same problem?
