Changing car colour

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial on how to change the colour of a car using PAINT.net?

AND

Does anyone know how you change the mags on a car as well?

Thanks :)

Using the plugin "Conditional hue and saturation" is even easier to work with.

I personally mess with curves, (when I'm not being lazy) because messing with hue/sat kind of messes with the color tones - makes them look like a low quality picture sometimes.

Another thing to do would be to make a new layer, color it all the color you want the car to be, and then mess with those blend modes until you get a good result. (Overlay works well most of the time). this version does have a drawback, however, because it colors the entire picture, not just the car specifically.

Well i just used the car from that topic as an example as it was the closest at head but here you go...

Basically its the same as changing the colour of the car...

Cut it out and use curves to colour it...

Using the car from viewtopic.php?f=12&t=24460 though, you can just use the magic wand :MagicWandTool: at 66% and it should select it all. Then open curves (adjustments -> curves :Curves: ) and yeh, go crazy.
