jinxjx
hi everyone, how would i extract this glass apple image to put on another background? i know about using the wand to get rid of the background but what about behind the glass apple....thanks
pipp92
I think you have to make your one "appleglass" because you can't extract it here and put in on another background. Or you extract it and make the inside of the glass transparent, but this seems difficault. edit: can you show your background where the apple should added. harold
I just had a quick go at it, don't expect anything great here but it's something.. Quote I would write plugins, if I knew what kind of plugins were needed..

barkbark00
That's the only way if you want it on another background. I must respectfully disagree... -------------STEPS--------------- Duplicate the original image. //forgot a step// Invert the new layer. Move the top layer over to the left exactly 93px. Set the top layer's blending mode to 'Color Burn'. Flatten the image and run the 'Reduce Noise' effect with the default settings... jinxjx
hey barkbark00, when i try this, its black. .nice job though...thanks
barkbark00
After following my steps you should end up with the white logo on a mostly black background... You could just use the crop tool to isolate the logo area and paste that to a new layer over your other image and set the blending mode to 'Screen'. NOTE: See 'apple.pdn' in the zip file To get the transparent version, I did some spot cleaning with the Paint Brush in black; and then I just used the Alpha Mask plugin and Curves+. apple.zip Quote Take responsibility for your own intelligence. -Rick Brewster
