Hi I'm new and have a question about a tablet.

Recommended Posts

Whats up? Yeah, I have used Paint.Net before (and since I again have time on my hands, I'm starting back up) and i love it. Just thought I would join the forums. Not much else to say really :?

I did have one question though. I wanted to get a tablet for High School Graduation and found this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823102010 Can anybody tell me if this is any good? It seems to have some good reviews, but i don't want a piece of bloody potato. I just need a tablet for my 3d Work. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums. :D

Not to seem intrusive, but may I direct you to the ? viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4577

It might be a better place to introduce yourself and ask the question about the tablet.

Also, I think there was a members' introduction thread somewhere, but I beleive it's fallen off the first page of the overflow.

Welcome to the forums, TheMyst. Please make sure you check out The Rules, specifically number 6 regarding thread titles. It's generally preferred if you give everybody a hint in the thread title as to the content, so they can know right away if they have relevant knowledge and should come inside. I've edited the title for you, but please keep this in mind in the future. Thanks. :)

As to the question, I've never owned a tablet, so I really can't comment one way or the other.

Well Paint.NET only supports pressure sensitivity with a Wacom, yet with this tablet there is for some reason pressure sensitivity. While this may sound good, it brings down performance tremoundously. Then again, if you are running Windows XP you wont have a problem at all with it

Pressure sensitivity Wacom tablet PC maybe. Pressure sensitivity USB drawing tablet so far seems like a no. I like my Wacom drawing tablet and it got pressure sensitivity but Paint.NET does not understand it. Matter a fact Paint.NET will treat it as if I am just drawning normally. I not sure if I can get Paint.NET to do the pressure sensitivity like other apps.
