MrRezister
I'm trying to find a way to quickly replace the default pallette with one that consists only of the colors within a certain creation, or section of that creation. Is this possible to do without using the dropper and adding the colors one at a time? Thank you!
MiguelPereira
check the curtis' plugin pack in the plugin section there might be something that might interest you and you know the rules 'please use search next time' Quote [The stock on my sig is a photo I took not a render from Splatter] [My deviantART][My Gallery][My Space]
Simon Brown
check the curtis' plugin pack in the plugin section there might be something that might interest you AFAIK he wants a plugin to retrieve the most common colours from an image - not force an image to only consist of a given set of colours. Just my 20 pence.
Mike Ryan
Well then Sabrown, start working on this
Simon Brown
Would this be a FileType plugin?
Mike Ryan
Yes, a Save Only filetype for saving the 256 most common colors (it is 256, isnt it?)
MiguelPereira
EDIT: Never mind you guys are right I was confused with the clean option on the plugin Quote [The stock on my sig is a photo I took not a render from Splatter] [My deviantART][My Gallery][My Space]
Simon Brown
doesn't selective pallet retrieve the most common color within the image? (too i mean...) Not AFAIK

MrRezister
I wasn't trying to create work for anyone! If you think it would be useful, I would certainly love to have something that works the way sabrown described, but otherwise I can find other ways to make it work. I have some images that I'm trying to recreate in an entirely different media, and I have to do it one pixel at a time, so I have to be able to build a pallette exclusively from the colors used in the pictures I've created. Thank you all for the advice!
