darimc
Hey, whenever I try to save with Paint.NET, it completely freezes up. I have the latest version and have uninstalled and reinstalled it. No matter what I do, it does this. It never started it until today either and I have been using Paint.NET for over a year.
HITMAN-X-
Does it let you pick the folder that your saving to ? Are there any video files in the folder your trying to save to ? if so you should move them to another folder as Divx codec for videos has been know to cause saving and opening problems. darimc
Thanks, it seems I did have a video file on the desktop. It's now working.
darimc
Now it is happening again. I can't figure out why. I tried everything I could think of. When it freezes, it says an error has occurred, when I go to see what it is, this is what it says (attached screen shot).
HITMAN-X-
looks like arcspl.ax is crashing Paint.NET. If this is the case then it not a Paint.NET error. arcspl.ax has been know to crash other apps as well from the looks of my google search. darimc
Okay, I tried Google-ing it, but I can't find anything. This sucks.
HITMAN-X-
look harder. I can't tell you what program it belongs to as I don't know what programs are on your computer. I google arcspl.ax and the 1st link was an error crash due to this file / program which was installed by this software: Palm Desktop. 2nd link in goolge says it was made by ArcSoft Co and is a mpeg engine. So there lots of info on it and it showing up on the front page. Quote DEXTUT.COM
darimc
I just found out that I had that MPEG Engine. I uninstalled it and now paint.net is working again. Thanks so much!
