bilboa
Hi, Can't install v.3.31 on Vista Business (French version). I've read the faq, and the solutions about repairing .net framework. Tried all of these but I get this error message : "Paint.NET Setup Front-End a cessé de fonctionner" Description : Stopped working Signature du problème : Nom d’événement de problème: CLR20r3 Signature du problème 01: setupfrontend.exe Signature du problème 02: 3.31.3043.25259 Signature du problème 03: 481a3dd7 Signature du problème 04: mscorlib Signature du problème 05: 2.0.0.0 Signature du problème 06: 47577b16 Signature du problème 07: 3545 Signature du problème 08: 31 Signature du problème 09: System.IO.FileNotFoundException Version du système: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.6 Identificateur de paramètres régionaux: 1036 I suppose the problem is with this mscorlib ? I have it in C:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727 Vista has already the v3.0 of .net framework and I can't uninstall it, it's part of vista. Tried to install v3.5 but same error occurs when I try to install paint.net. So I don't know what to do... Thanks Bilboa

Pluberus
Install the newest version of net.framework. I thought 3.5 was the latest framework??
david.atwell
It is. Pipp didn't read closely enough. Try repairing your .NET framework, and trying a reinstall. And with vista, I can't uninstall version 3.0 of the framework. Another idea ? Thanks,
david.atwell
Apparently I didn't read closely enough, either. So, you've tried everything in the "PROBLEMS WITH ... INSTALL" thread? I know it sounds silly, but some people just read it, assume it won't help them, and go on without trying it. I want to make sure that's not you. :-P Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. bilboa
So, you've tried everything in the "PROBLEMS WITH ... INSTALL" thread? Yes, I have... so I absolutely don't know what to do. I'll be waiting, perhaps, it'll self repair ? :-)
Pluberus
Did you run the installers as Administrator? Or add PDN to the DEP exceptions list?
Rick Brewster
Why would you add PDN to the DEP exclusion list? That's a bad idea.
