Crazy Man Dan Posted August 19, 2005 Share Posted August 19, 2005 When you create a new image in Paint.NET, the "Background" layer is automatically created with a white fill. If you want the image to be transparent, you must create at least one new layer and make your image in that layer (or several successive new layers). Before you save the image, remember to either set the "Background" layer's opacity to 0 or delete the "Background" layer altogether, or the white background will be visible instead of the transparency you want.
