startreksuite
I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the overflow, since it does deal with the program, in an indirect way. Would you guys consider creating Paint.Net T-shirts, or is that idea too corny? I know other forums have gone this route, and Cafe Press does a good job dealing with T-Shirt distribution. Just a thought. my photobucket my blog my DA

Simon Brown
And a premium would be charged for a Paint.NET donation? I am also considering creating MySpace and Facebook profiles for the program.

startreksuite
As long as you capitalise '.NET', I can't think of anything to stop you. I wouldn't offer to do it. I know I would buy one. Sick of hearing all about Photoshop! I have all my Stargate/Star Trek stuff, got two cool shirts from Cafe Press, one is Kawoosh which is my wife's forum, the other is a saying from Jack O'Neill from Stargate SG-1. It would be a cool way to get donations, say $20 is what a normal shirt goes for, charge $30 or something. There are a lot of great artists on this site that would probably make great shirts with the logo on it! my photobucket my blog my DA

The_Lionhearted
You know your open-source software has hit it big once people start creating merchandise for it... startreksuite
This is something that MUST be left up to Rick. Yeah, when I thought about the t-shirt, my wife reminded me that when she suggested that for her forum the final decision was up to the person in charge of the forum, and since Rick is in charge, that would be a natural order of things. So, if Rick wills it, he would have many happy followers  my photobucket my blog my DA
Rick Brewster
I actually created a CafePress account awhile ago, but never put any merchandise up on it. Simon Brown
Also, have you considered adding a PDN Digg link on the website? That way you may manage to get enough people to Digg it for it to recieve some more promotion via Digg.

That way you may manage to get enough people to Digg it for it to recieve some more promotion via Digg. I thought digg links were for new articles? Do they have some sort of persistent link/bookmarking system?
