Text -- part italics and part not

Recommended Posts

um, there is a way actually.

first create 2 layers, then add what you want to type FULLY in 1 layer (everything just forget about italics for now)

then on the 2nd layer type the exact same thing and line it up, then switch it to italics, delete the halves of what you want italic/normal and merge the layers

(hope that makes sense)

I think the OP already knew how to work around it. He was just looking for an easy way.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

No. People wished for custom brushes. Users yearned for that added feature-set. It was given to them because someone saw a chance of improvement over PDNs current brush system.

The same can be said with the text tool. There is room for improvement, someone should seize the opportunity.

If you want custom fonts, go to dafont.com or author your own, no-one here needs waste their time on that.

Or someone could implement something similar to Splatter and the Custom Brush plugin and use that for fonts.

I wonder, as Rick works for MS, if they would share code from their old line of Picture-It Products as Microsoft no longer produces them. It had a nice text interface where you could have text in a circle, in a trapezoid shape, bulged, outlined, etc.

Probably not something they would do however.
