Donny Bahama Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 The topic title says it all. Here's an example image: How can I remove the text in the upper right corner and restore the background (as though the text was never there? Quote
david.atwell Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Your best bet would be clone stamp. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
Simon Brown Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 You will have to try your best to copy what you know from the background - ie: the lines behind the text and use them to go over the text hiding it - there are various tools that can help you with that such as the clone tool. To use hold down ctrl and click on the point you want it to start collecting the source to clone from - then draw normally. Beware that the source position will move as the destination does so. Quote
Donny Bahama Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 "Drawing normally" sounds very difficult - I'm not at all good at freehanding stuff... kinda hard with a notebook track pad. Any additional pointers? Quote
007 Nab Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Your best bet would be clone stamp. I agree - that's how I do it on videogame screenshots when I want to get rid of the HUD menus. david.atwell Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 He means you just fill in the area by clicking and dragging. It's not so much drawing as covering. Donny Bahama Posted April 14, 2008 Author Posted April 14, 2008 Thanks everyone! After using the clone stamp, I added a little radial blur and... Voila! Quote
