What's this?

This is a plugin under Effect/render menu. You should use it to create/add stars.

I'm now just reviving the images and the UI.

 

 

Download the DLL

How to install

Close Paint.net

 

Classic version of Paint.net

Unzip and (re)place the DLL in your Effect folder usually: C:/Program Files/Paint.NET/Effects

 

Microsoft Store version of Paint.net

Unzip and (re)place the DLL in your Effect folder usually: /My Documents/paint.net App Files/Effects/

You have to adapt for your language My Documents

 

 

The User interface

Vertex (n): set the quantity of spines for the star.

 

External Raduis (R1): set the larger radius.

 

Internal Raduis (R2): set the smaller radius.

 

Ex/Internal Rotation (a/b): distort the regular star by applying a rotation.

 

Repeat: reproduce the star as much as the value is set. Need some steps for better effect.

 

Steps: increment/decrement value between each repetition of the stars.

 

Drawing options: check the option(s) you need:

...External lines

...Rays from the center

...Both

(test it, easy to understand!)

 

End Caps options: check the option to change the end of the lines :

...None

...Round

...Triangle

...Square

 

Gradient:  If checked the repetitions of stars is a gradient from primary color to secondary color.

 

Anti-Aliasing: (no anti aliasing if brush width is 1)

 

Brush width

 

Transparency

@MadJik   you have added so much versatility to all your plugins, I am in awe.

 

These latest additions to 'stars' make this so much fun!  Thank you!   :)

It is ok. I was trying to see if it could be modified to create flowers.
