Hurt and Heal (+/-) #13: Doomsday comes from the Death Star!

Recommended Posts

After a short hiatus, we're back and better than ever!

The Hurt and Heal Game

Here's the goal:

Make your favorite choice win, and make your least favorite choice lose.

Winning and Losing:

Winning: The first choice that reaches 100 (or the last choice standing) wins, ending the game.

Losing: As each choice reaches 0, it is removed from the list. It has lost.

In the event that only two choices remain, both scores are reset to 50 and the "shootout" begins!

What you do:

"Hurt" a choice by subtracting 10 from its score.

"Heal" a choice by adding 5 to its score.

(You must do both of these in each turn)

Rules:

You may only "Hurt and Heal" once each day.

Once a choice reaches 0, it is gone. You may not re-add it to the list. Let it die an honorable death. :-)

The posted scoreboard comprises the only options. You may not add new options. Discussion will be held before each edition of (+/-); discuss choices there.

If someone "beats you" in posting, change your scoreboard to reflect the change. Be courteous.

Keep it on topic. You can talk briefly about how you chose what to hurt and heal, but take any off topic threads to .

Also, if you have any ideas for the theme for the next Hurt & Heal, post them underneath your scoreboard. That'll make prep for the next one easier.

Everyone clear? All right!

The theme for this Hurt and Heal Game is...

Doomsday Devices!

Here's the starting scoreboard, presented in no order after almost no thought.

Yeah, the last one's a joke (that's why it's at 15). But I thought it was funny. :-) Let's conquer the world!

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

I've included Rainsy's post.

Starbucks is the ultimate world destruction tool, second only to McDonalds.

I'm not a massive fan of Halo, so I'ma kill it.

@BB: You make me sad. :-( <-See?

Anyway, I've ended its reign. :-) And I like the Dr. Device. Orson Scott Card is a good writer.

jake2k accidentally mixed up the numbers, adding 10 to heal and subtracting 5 to hurt instead of the other way around. This is the fixed version.

+1 for nearly happening

-1 for cliche'd FPS games. Don't argue, as good as the gameplay is/isn't in the HALO series, it just ain't bringing anything new or fresh to the tired world of FPS.
