jerkfight Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Add new layer. Add text. Press f4 and mess with the opacity Quote
sbleez Posted March 17, 2008 Author Posted March 17, 2008 I added a new layer, but how do you add text? I typed text into the layer properties and hit F4 like you said but nothing happens Quote
Myrddin Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Jerkfight appears to be be offline, so I hope he does not mind me intervening. For text, simply select the Text Tool ( ) and type on the new layer (as you no doubt have gathered). However, some circumstances can hinder the Text Tool, mostly an active selection: anything authored outside of an active selection (the animated dotted-rectangle) will not register, so your text will not appear. Simply press the Esc key on your keyboard to deselect. Try now. As jerkfight was saying, press F4 on the layer with your text and adjust the opacity to your desired effect. Does this help you?
