Kreeos
I'm trying to figure out how to make a shiny, metallic surface. Essentially something made out of polished steel or aluminum. I noticed the metallic text tutorial but for anything other than text it looks kind of cheesy and fake. So far all my own attempts have been fruitless. Anybody have any ideas? janettsue
Linear Gradient with the right two colors. Quote "One can't complain. I have my friends. Someone spoke to me only yesterday." EEYORE
Kreeos
Tried that. Comes out looking too flat for my tastes. Looks more like old metal than brand new, highly polished metal. Quote Deviant Art
Ash
Did you check out viewtopic.php?f=12&t=23070 already? (read the whole thread) Would it work? Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]
Kreeos
Could possibly work. I'll give it a try and let you guys know. EDIT: No, didn't really work out that well. On the plus side I figued out how to make a realistic looking strand of hair (as if viewed in a microscope) Another Edit: This is kind of what I'm going for.
