BoltBait
With both of the "is this artist on your iPod" and "what music are you listening to" threads, there are a lot of bands being listed that I have never heard of. If you're as confused by my listings as I am of yours, this thread may help you. Many times you hear of a band that you think may interest you. So, you start searching the web for some music... but, which songs should you listen to first? Which songs are the really good ones? Here is a list of bands and their top 5 songs (in my opinion) from my iPod: Alice in Chains Man in the Box Rooster Would? Angry Chair Them Bones Boston Foreplay/Long Time More Than A Feeling Peace of Mind Don't Look Back Cool The Engines Cypress Hill How I Could Just Kill A Man Insane In The Brain I Ain't Going Out Like That 3 Lil' Putos Checkmate Devo Beautiful World Working In The Coal Mine Through Being Cool Girl U Want Whip It Everlast Ends What Its Like Black Jesus Hot To Death Get Down Foghat Slow Ride Fool For The City I Just Want To Make Love To You Godsmack Whatever Keep Away Voodoo Straight Out Of Line Speak Enemy Heart Barracuda Magic Man Crazy On You Dreamboat Annie Dog & Butterfly Ice-T New Jack Hustler Body Count O.G. Unchained Hot For Teacher White Zombie/Rob Zombie Thunder Kiss 65 More Human Than Human Dragula Living Dead Girl Superbeast Yes I've Seen All Good People Roundabout Owner Of A Lonely Heart Changes Leave It ZZ Top Cheap Sunglasses Legs Velcro Fly Tush La Grange A through Z off the top of my head (iPod, really). That's all I got for now... Now, it's your turn. I don't expect you to do an A-Z like I did. But, if you have a favorite band or two (or 10), tell me who they are and then list their top 5 songs. That way, if I hear one of those 5 songs, I'll know other songs to look out for. usedHONDA
Nice concept, there. I'll follow up: Linkin Park (well, we need to start somewhere) Faint Bleed it Out [not the band's typical style, but I like it] What I've Done [some of you heard enough of that song at the credits in Transformers] A Place For My Head In the End To tell you the truth, those are pretty much the only songs I like from them >_> Avenged Sevenfold Afterlife [break-up song] Almost Easy [getting-back-together song] Critical Acclaim Seize the Day [emotional music video] Bat Country Finger Eleven Falling On Paralyzer [yes, that song you hear on the radio all the time] Thousand Mile Wish Good Times [not very popular, but it sounds like it should be a hit] One Thing [a song that everybody knows, even if you've never heard of F11] Quote "The greatest thing about the Internet is that you can write anything you want and give it a false source." ~Ezra Pound twtr | dA | tmblr | yt | fb

usedHONDA
Let's go for a band that doesn't use electric guitars: Gorillaz Feel Good Inc. Dirty Harry Dare 19/2000 (also called 19-2000) El Mañana Though to truly learn to appreciate Gorillaz, you should look up the meanings of their songs. Feel Good Inc. has an impressive amount of symbolism.
