Is it possible to copy all layers into the clipboard?

Recommended Posts

I've looked through help and the FAQ, but haven't found a way to do this. I work with .pdn files with multiple layers and would like to be able to Select All -> Copy All Layers for pasting elsewhere.

Is this possible? If not, could it be added to the queue of things to do? Right now I have to save my .pdn as a .png, then copy then paste. Meanwhile, saving to .png causes the .pdn file to be "closed", which means I have to reopen it again if I need to continue working with it.

Not great for workflow.

Btw - thanks for a great tool. I use it daily.

You can flatten the image and copy it from there (I'm away from the computer with PdN on it, but it's in either the Image or the Layers menu), then hit Undo to un-flatten the canvas.

I think that this functionality may be possible in the future, but it is not included as of yet. Good idea, though. :-) I'd also like to see a quick shortcut for flatten, duplicate, and undo flatten (essentially making a copy of the visible image and copying it onto a new layer). This is an undocumented function in Photoshop (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+E). It would also help you in what you're needing to do.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
