kperrah
If your familiar with MS flight simulator Textures, they were created as a bitmap file format of 32 bit depth. When I open one of these airplane textures & make any color change with Paint.net & save, it turns into a 24 bit depth file & will not display any longer on the original aircraft. I have looked at Save As but do not have any higher choices. Any ideas?
RejZoR
Well, TGA format offers 32-bit color encoding.
Rick Brewster
The BMP codec that we have does not support loading saving the alpha channel with 32-bit BMP images. Because of this, we have it save in 24-bit format. If you want to retain the alpha channel, and if your other software supports it, I recommend using PNG or TGA. BuzzKill
kperrah, sgtjoebear referred to using an app called DTXBMP for MSFS in his thread: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=1159. You may want to look into that to see if that helps you. Quote - DO NOT contact me asking for the .pdn of my avatar or the PDN logo. Thank you. Have a nice day.
