Why isn't there a Paint.Net favicon?

It's Forumer. They don't allow favicons unless it's part of the skin installed.

@DarkShock: They're the little 16x16 icons that you see on your tabs, to the left of the page title.

@usedHONDA-That's right, I use an add-on with firefox that keeps the favicons for bookmarked sites just below the toolbar. It keeps me from having to use the drop down bookmarks, just click on the icon to go to the bookmarked page. This site has the sad little blank page icon.

@BigT - I don't think it's much of a priority, honestly. I use my Bookmarks Toolbar with only the icon (and a period to divide them), and I understand your pain. But Rick is working his full-time job, as well as his coding for v4.0. So I wouldn't hold my breath. :-)

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

BZZT! Favicons are done by saving a file named "favicon.ico" into the Public_html folder.

If your realy fussed...

In IE you can easily change the shortcut icon for PDN.

#1 Just go to Favourites, right hand click Paint.net forum then properties

2.png

#2 Then change icon

3.png

#3 Browse...

4.png

#4 and select the icon (favicon.ico)

5.png

and voilà

6.png

__

P.S this will show up in favourites but not next to the http:// bit.

The icon I have encluded is 16X16 (defualt favicon size - if you need ay bigger, visit http://lirent.net/wp-content/uploads/20 ... intnet.png to see the PDN icon, and resize + convert for your needs!)

Also, the file format ico is not allowed to uplad at my ftp or this forum (what!?) so you will have to convert it from my PNG file...

edit... Or use the C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Paint.NET.exe and it will open the icon file for it.
