I remember someone asking for a picture of a CD. I was so bored the other day and I made these. they are both the same image with different backgrounds, i was trying to show how the plastic part of the CD is transparent.

I redid the picture that I had posted here:

I made the background stars show better and make the final output bigger. I think you can now see that some of the stars look like they are also being pulled in. 8)

The CD itself should be slightly transparent.

Not really. Although a version that is PNG w/ alpha would be useful.

Well it does depend on the background, but from the bottom, I can see through most of my CD's, the strip part a little bit with ease with little light, could just be the ones I purchased, but for an artists CD, with artwork on the front, you would and should not be able to see through.

There is not a place to upload Pdn files, and view them as images, because I don't think any of the major browsers (IE, FF, Opera, Netscape) support viewing it as an image, you can host it on a site that lets you store zip files.

This pic was just a CD that was blank on both sides, so you probably should be able to see something through it, but there was nothing in the BG to see though it. I also wanted to make the silver part a little shinnier but that was a priority.

Do you appreciate fine German engineering? Than you should like this one.

I took some pictures of my BMW M3 GTR at Nürburgring Nordschleife in Gran Turismo 4's Photo Drive and Photo Travel modes, then composited them with The GIMP. I liked the result so much, I wanted to show you guys, but it was a GIMP image! :o

So I recreated it in PDN. Considering that I put the whole thing together with Layer Masks in The GIMP, I got surprisingly close! Many thanks to pleska for the Gradient plug-in and the Alpha-Channel Only option. :D

Enjoy!

I made a site that shows all the graphics I can find. The URL is http://freewebs.com/born2killx but its still under construction. In the links section that I haven't made yet, I'm going to add the Paint.NET site and the forum.

Why create a web site to hold your art when you can just create an account at http://www.deviantart.com/ ?

BTW, you can see all the art I have loaded up at deviant art by clicking the link in my signature.
