Introducing the super-adaptable iPod!

pdnipodvi4.png

It adapts to all background colors and is still readable! 8GB On sale for only $175.00(plus tax, shipping and any other fee we can come up with)*!

*Prices subject to change

Now some real information:

That iPod was created completely in Paint.NET. I downloaded the font, made the buttons, and even the little icons from scratch in pdn. The only things were not origional were the blue bar and the album cover and I still had to do some modifications to them. I guess I'll upload a lower-res version soon.

BTW, I used NIN just for Rick. I haven't even listened to one of their songs before :P

it's excellent usedHONDA, in fact I was thinking of doing the same thing the other day.

the screen has your "black pixel problem" in both upper corners and a strange gray triangle in the bottom left corner.

ALSO, i don't think the "shine" should go across the screen like that.

still, better than I could've done.

I'm not seeing any black pixels....

Well the pictures I've seen have the glare on the screen.... wait! The glare strangely makes it darker on the screen and lighter on the frame! I'll be back....

Meanwhile, you can look at my smaller version:

It looks more like the actual size with my resolution.

EDIT: Now I see the black pixel problem!

Perfection!

Just one small annoyance left, and that is if you set the background color to black it looks weird because it blends in with the edges... But since this is an image file and not like an applet or something that can dynamically adjust its colors, I don't think there's anything you can do about that.

...I don't think there's anything you can do about that.

But there is! If I make the border just a little brighter, it will blend in perfectly. I'd also like to add a shadow with a slight glow to it.

Yeah. If it's on a white background, it will look like a shadow. If it's on a black background, it will look like a little glowing light.

v3.0:

When in black, it looks more realistic, but the wheel isn't as good.

EDIT@Dr.D: I like your current one better. Looks zoomy (if you can define the word I just made up).

If you remove the shine (or just reduce it) over the click wheel, it should look better on the black one. The pics I've seen on Apple's ads don't have the shine there either, and I think they have more of a gradient.

edit: the cloudy world pic is a nice idea, but it's just a little too simple for my taste.

I actually have a gradient hidden in that glare/shine. It's just hard to see.
