It is moving into a shipyard of some kind. http://barak.lyons.googlepages.com/ESSolarScifijpg.jpg [EDIT] It is still a crappy jpeg, the final will be png. Helio
What's this? Competition?!? NEVER! kidding! ---- Anyway, I made two updates to the Distant Titan: First, a better, more shaded, version of the original: Second, a version just for fun. Alert: GIMP was used. Very explosive, that! v An excellent open–source strategy game—highly recommended. "I wish I had never been born," she said. "What are we born for?" "For infinite happiness," said the Spirit. GangstaCrab
Second, a version just for fun. Alert: GIMP was used. BOO the GIMP! j/k I can't get used to any other program's UI after using PdN, they all seem so foreign.
usedHONDA
GIMP is foreign to anybody that uses it.... even long time users! Helio
How did you do that sun in the first pic? On a new layer, make a white, radial gradient (with the secondary color's alpha turned down to 0) where you would like the star/sun. Then apply Dents very slightly, and, finally, use Zoom Blur Deluxe. Adjust layer blend modes, maybe duplicate the layer to give a more intensive star. Voila! Boy, I'm done with spacescapes... for now. BOO the GIMP! j/k Very Happy I can't get used to any other program's UI after using PdN, they all seem so foreign. I know, it's a real pity, it has many wonderful tools and effects. Oh well... ...just wait until they're released with PDN! v An excellent open–source strategy game—highly recommended. Jezulkim
@Helio: I copied your ideas on my work. Don't kill me! Very heavy lens flares! Be careful. Bob
@Extra: lack AntiAliasing. In fact expand rendering size (it's from 3D right?) and maybe quality should do the trick. No. Way. I've just seen Bob. Dr. D
I think it's pretty good, maybe a bit too much red. Here's my latest space scene! It's probably one of my best ones yet. Does it look good, or should I change something?
