Yes, please fix that "-1" IndexOutOfRangeException bug. I get so many of those specific crashlogs in my inbox, I might have to block it in the next release :(

That bug has been present since v1 or v2... we're now in v5.1 and it's still causing trouble?!

Simon, you are overenthusiastic with your version numbering and underenthusiastic with bug-fixes.

Agreed. I'd personally say this should be a V2 or V3 if we're lucky. :roll:

Heck, since I've started to have to use Macros in Excel, I'll probably start learning to program again. :twisted:

I have tried numerous times to open the custompaint brushes in my pdn >filetypes>brushes folder . I am NO DOUBT, doing this wrong, so could someone put the instructs up in a simpler explanation? OK --I am stupid...lol. I have the files in the brushes folder, but they're nowhere to be found in pdn.Heeelp meeeee!!!!!! :(:cry:

Its not you, Im getting an ierror when i try to brush, it opens alright but as soon as you put the brush to canvas, KABOOM!!!!!!

But i had an earlier version that worked fine....

:?: Then the plugin is messed up.I get the same thing.As soon as i touch the canvas w/ custombrushes..it shuts down pdn with a crash report??????? What earlier version worked?

I am loving PDN and all the other cool plugins...its just as good as psp or better. :mrgreen:

With the previous version (the one before 5.1.1) the plug-in flickered a bit upon starting but then worked quite all right, since I downloaded the 5.1.1 whenever I try to use it, the brushes start flickering very fast and then pdn crash... :( ? Any suggestion?

:idea: Or may be this is due to the fact that I tried this tip from Ego Eram Reputo viewtopic.php?f=12&t=27109 copying and pasting a callout from ms word into my paintbrushes folder and something got wrong ? :?

Old versions of plugins may not work properly in the new version of Paint.NET.

Give the author time to figure it out.

I wait eagerly for the new version of smudge. But we all have to wait.

Are we talking about the same bug? The bug I fixed was the crash when no brushes were installed.

I cannot fix the bug until I know the answer to this question.

I'm fairly new here Simon. I posted the Crashlog on pg.55 here. I had installed the brushes and placed the zip file in C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects after I unblocked it, as per instructs for plugins. It wouldn't work at first, but when I opened my pdn again, it showed up in effects. I was excited to see them there, and when I went to use the brushes, my pdn crashed the minute I touched the canvas.

I know you are still trying to fix it..so I am waiting patiently for that :wink: And thank you for this plugin. I'm sure once you figure out the problem , we'll all have the chance to acquire the new brushes :)

But than again--you never know--it could be my computer being a slacker and not wanting to work with me ,LOL!

I have .NET 3.0 SP1 and no to your question --if you mean does the brushes work with this.

Wish I was a more technically inclined human :( But I'm learning :mrgreen:

I don't have a custom brushes folder..

Have you used the plugin yet?

The plugin creates the folder (I think) so if you haven't used the plugin yet, it shouldn't be there. By the way, you are perhaps the 31st person to ask the same question. You should check out the previous pages if you have a problem.
