oma Posted March 2, 2008 Share Posted March 2, 2008 well I figured out how to make a brush but you really need to give some directions how to make them show up when you open the effect within paint.net. your a pretty smart cookie but some of us not so computor savy users need help. Just put the new brush folder in the same folder. In a future version - all you will need is to put images in the folder which I may put a desktop shortcut to. The first version is to have a color dialogue and be able to set a primary and secondary color, but it will read your primary and secondary first. The second version is to have black and white brushes. The black portion is replace with your primary, while white is replace with your secondary. The next is for a filetype plugin to save it as a brush (ie ".brsh") in which the filetype saves the brush and scales it down to thumbnail size for the effect dialogue. Also, I want the menu I described above. Allow us infinite brushes while being able to categorize your plugins, either while saving it into a .brsh or by including a txt file in the folder. oma Posted March 2, 2008 Share Posted March 2, 2008 What did you do just before that came up? made brush .png same size as yours made bmp. made new folder omas brushes. put in folder with custom brushes. this message above. so then added them to original file no folder same message . step by step instructions please. I just deleted the ones I made and will start again. OH yes you should note that to make your brushes give even coverage you must maintain a constant speed of mouse can not go fast then slow or vs as line breaks up into just small series of round circles. Copy the feather plugin folder and rename it to your brush name. Then open each file inside with pdn, modify it to your needs and save over the old one. oma Posted March 2, 2008 Share Posted March 2, 2008 just need color for the soft brush you originally provided. didn't realize you could make your own burshes with color when I wrote that. so yes and no. guess for those not going to make any brushes themselves you might need to do that. although I don't know how you would be able to change multi colored self made brushes. ?
