michaeldjackson
I'm looking for a quality install creator. I like the look of the Paint.NET installer. Anyone know what they use? Thanks
usedHONDA
If I'm correct, Rick coded the installer himself. But for the sake of facilitation, Nullsoft Installer is the most common program for making installers, though: http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Main_Page Oh, and as the announcement at the top of the Overflow says, this is not a tech support forum. Next time, post a question like this in the off-topic thread. Yata
I"m fairly certain Rick scripted his own, but don't quote me on that. I think usedHONDA knew of a free/trial one. I would poke him until he tells Edit: Speak of the devil..... Simon Brown
Try posting in the tech support forum. Or Google "Installer Builder".
Rick Brewster
Paint.NET's installer uses NSIS for packaging/self-extraction, my own custom C#/WinForms code for the setup wizard/front-end, and it's then based on using Windows Installer/MSI to do the actual installation transaction.
