Music uploading sites?

Recommended Posts

garageband.com?

hmmmm.... i dont think so.

basically i scripted a media player in HTML format, and in order to add the music it has to be in a source form so it can be read by HTML.

I think i need to find a site that converts music to HTML format, but its hard, i dont see a single site out there lol

You can not store music in HTML format. You store music in a music format, like MP3 or AAC or WAV (or a ton of other music formats).

Here is some information that may help you: http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/embedde ... EMBED.html

classid="CLSID:22D6F312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95"

standby="Loading Microsoft® Windows® Media Player components..."

type="application/x-oleobject"

codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=6,4,7,1112">

The underlined part is where the music goes, but i dont know how to type the music in.

C:\Documents and Settings\Kevin\My Documents\

Host the music somewhere. Unless people can browse to your C drive (not recommended :?) they can't get to it. Host it on a website and then put the link there. :)

what site can i host it on?

Any site that lets you upload files. googlepages, 110mb...any website hosting service I believe. I used to host them on my school webpage. :)

Basically your url needs to have "http://" in front of it instead of "C:\".

i wish i could just put it into something like photobucket and have it be changed....

so i should basically create a google web page or wat ever, with the music on ther. then use it at a source?

that makes sense.

edit: just saw your post boltbait, i didnt really understand what you ment by that before, but i get it now. ill try it out

Thanks

Kevin

edit: would i just use one of the gadgets google pages has instead of my media player script?

i have one last question then im going to stop posting about this kinda stuff because its not to much PDN related. The only reason ive been posting here is because im familiar with the PDN members, and you guys give great support.

Ive been trying to get answers for some questions in the techsupportforum.com, i find this forum completely unreliable, On these forums i can expect an answer within at most a couple hours.

Does any one know of a tech support forum that has a more active community like PDN?
