atypicalcarl 0
In Vista, I believe it'll be called "Open File Location." Do as Bolt says and click the effects folder, then paste (or drag and drop) your dll there. Quote When computers become self-aware and take over the world, the porn bots will get much, MUCH worse. MortalShadows 0
I am guessing you are using vista, and for that reason, you will need to follow these steps to fix the problem... I am using version 3.36 of paint.net and vista 32 bit. I tried downloading the zip and extracting it, but vista wont allow me. I visited the link you gave, but I am a bit afraid whether or not I should activate the administrator account. Anyone else has done it? Is it safe? I am just a normal computer user and dont know much about the intricacies. Kindly suggest. Thanks for the plugins, I hope I can install and use those someday. Edited Later: Ok I have copy pasted the dlls without creating the administrator account. I can see them in the paint.net software. Is there a thread where I can know how I can use them, especially the feather plugin? Thanks again.
atypicalcarl 0
An administrator account is necessary because Vista won't allow you to easily get around DEP. You'll need it to move files to program folders, etc. The *very* cool codelab project can only build a dll if you're running paint.net as an administrator on Vista. Visit the tutorials forum and read, read, read. It's a terrific resource! Quote When computers become self-aware and take over the world, the porn bots will get much, MUCH worse. Tabou 0
Colour Balance is a must. Have you considered adding a Greyscale "checkbox switch" and a contrast slider? You would have a great channel mixer. Outline, feather, selections - it's all good. Thank-You.

Lance McKnight 4
Hey BoltBait, could you possibly add options to your Bevel plugin? For example, Hard Chisel, Soft Chisel, and Pillow emboss. That way I can get rid of a couple of plugins and use yours instead. Quote Officially retired from this forum. Have a nice day. BoltBait 3,235
Show me some examples of what you want and I'll explain why I can't. Thanks! Quote Click to play: Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and how about a Computer Dominos Game
Lance McKnight 4
Disregard then because if you can't be able to add those different bevelling options. Edit: After I thought about what I meant, I decided to show you what I meant. In this tutorial, there were several different emboss/bevel being done. I currently have two plugins that does Bevel (beside yours), and Emboss/Engrave plugin. They are okay, but what I am looking for is a plugin that incoporate those "styles" and giving more control. I understand if they can't work because they are working from a selection of an image. However, running Emboss/Engrave or Bevel plugin, I have to select the image first before activating the UI in those plugins; otherwise, it will render the entire canvas rather than the selected object. LJXD 0
For some reason all your plugins disappeared from the effects and adjustments menu when i updated my Paint.NET version to alpha v3.5. I'll download again but i'd thought i'd let you know. Quote |My Sig Tut| Deviant Art |Advanced Grunge Texture|My Gallery The Birthplace of Life

Dr. Agon 0
My computer (or at least I THINK it's my computer) won't let me download these files. Ego Eram Reputo 2,753
Are you downloading the *.zip file from the first post, or have you clicked on the information icon and been taken to BoltBaits website? LibbyH 2
BoltBait this is an amazing plug-in pack. I'm really excited about the new Gaussian Blur effect, I love what it did with the picture you posted, and the feather option. (And I'm excited about testing the others as well.) Thanks! justlittlethings 0
Hi. I can't seem to install these plugins. I saved the download to the effects folder and clicked it. All the files are there, pretty as you please, but when I open paint.net, the plugin features aren't there. My paint.net folder sits directly on my c drive, not in the program files folder and I have windows vista. Does anyone have any advice. I need these plugins badly. Thanks in advance. Sarkut 7
The plugin .dll files need to be copied from the zip and pasted into the Effects folder. All folders zip or non-zip should be removed from the Effects folder. Only plugin files in the Effects folder, no folders. =================================== Edited July 20, 2010 by Sarkut
