Andrew D
Seriously guys, you do not have to go and say something along the lines of that your waiting for a mod to lock a thread. If you think something is going to get locked, state your reasons why, give them some suggestions on how to keep the thread open, then report the thread and state your reason why you think it should be locked, then leave that topic alone. Instead of creating snide remarks for the author to read. I don't care if it's a countdown, a stopwatch or any other timing device, just grow up and don't bother. (Also, the reason I'm putting it here is because: 1. More people will read it, 2. The Overflow dosen't seem the right place for this, and 3. I think the mods are more likely to pick up on it from here.)

david.atwell
...not to mention it's annoying as all get-out to us. I've been almost ready to not lock a thread in which that was posted, because I don't want to be sounding like I'm at the behest of someone else's whims. It was funny once. When pyrochild did it. Once. But it doesn't get funnier every time. It only gets worse. So, please. PLEASE. Just stop. Thank you, AndrewD - I would've moved this to the overflow (and I may yet still), but I think I'll leave it in GDQ for a little while. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
barkbark00
Why isn't this in overflow? The really has nothing to do with Paint.NET. Edit: NM, I didn't see Daivd's remarks... Please disregard. Thanks Quote Take responsibility for your own intelligence. -Rick Brewster
Sozo
According to my calculations, the relative level of humerousness of such "countdown" comments is inversely proportional to the amount of times the comment is repeated.
Andrew D
To add to this list, will people stop ordering mods to close threads as if they were your servants?
david.atwell
Echoed quite heartily. I don't mind if you are the creator of the thread and you ask us to close it, but if you're saying "I dun lyk dis tut!!!! Cloze it plx1!!1!!11one!", I'm going to frown at you. Mabye this should be included in the tutorial guidlines at the least, seeing as how it happens the most in there?

Myrddin
Attractive though the cat may be, I think the Spartan bloke fits you more as you have used a '300' based image before, and Rick has laid claims to cats in general. I have seen an emoticon for the King Leonidas character before... Quote How to Save Your Images under Different File Types My dA Gallery
