Update Plugin Request: Ink Sketch

Recommended Posts

I was just using the Ink Sketch used-to-be plugin and thought of a few things that could be better/added:

+the color of the 'ink' could be changed

+have the ink on a separate layer (so it can be edited and such)

+the 'Ink Outline' scale to be extended

+include antialias

well thats just it....

I think it can be done... Well, can it?

I wouldn't mind seeing this done, but I believe it's up to BoltBait/Rick.

I can't figure out how to do any of those things. :(

However, I have published the source code, so if you want to add those features, GO FOR IT!!!

He can help make CodeLab, yet can't change the colour of the ink?

The only thing which isn't possible in that list is the ability to put it onto a different layer.

I don't believe that would be possible until version 4.0, if even then.

Effects cannot target more than one layer at a time, HOWEVER, it is possible to duplicate the layer, then run the effect and select the ink with the magic wand holding Shift, pressing CTRL+I to invert the selection, and pressing delete. You can then invert the colors (CTRL+Shift+I), and use the color filter plugin by EdHarvey to change the color, and the brightness/contrast adjustement to change luminosity.

To use anti-aliasing, run the effect, select the ink with the magic wand holding Shift, press CTRL+X, paste on a new layer, and then use Feather, Basic antialias or whatever method of antialiasing you want to use. Hope this helps :)

I don't really understand what you mean by ink outline, but perhaps using the Outline Object plugin after using the first technique would work?
