Simon Brown
One question I wander about = I just looked in the about box and it lists #zip in the libraries used. What does Paint.NET use it for?
BoltBait
Just a guess: The Paint.NET file type .PDN uses it to compress the file stream on its way to the disk. Rick Brewster
Actually it now uses System.IO.Compression for that (ever since v2.6). The answer's simple: the updater downloads .ZIP files and needs to extract them somehow.
