ldbuma
Hello, I am using Paint.NET quite a lot with different image formats. One of the few formats I use is ECW. These ECW format is not supported in Paint.NET. So first I have to convert these images and after that I can load them in Paint.NET. Is it possible to support ECW files in Paint.NET? Paint.NET is very nice guys!!!! Best regards, Lodewijk.
Bob
I found some SDKs: http://www.ermapper.com/downloads/sdks.aspx it's just curiosity. Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. Rick Brewster
So what is the advantage of JPEG 2000 over regular JPEG? I must admit I'm not very familiar with it. JrezIN
In the end... better compression... But there's some nice features too, like suport for lossless compression. Some clain better performance too, but it could be just a myth... A small comparation: http://www.levien.com/gimp/jpeg2000/comparison.html and more technical information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JPEG_2000
Rick Brewster
Looks like it may be patent/legally encumbered. That doesn't stop someone else from writing a plugin to support it though. (although we need to get those plugin docs written...)
