k.digennaro
i agree nc we need more buildings so i can put the people in edit: so i tried to do a little area with some detail, adding some of the pixel buildings etc. see if you can spot the problem. i had to scale everything down, now, i dont mind doing that, but its there a way i can make this look better? i feel like im missing something.... Rubrica
Sorry if I sound rude, but that's definitely not isometric. Look at the link that Myrddin posted on page 5 if you want to see how to make it isometric. By the way, I made an art gallery.
Helio
Sorry, k.digennaro. That's not an isometric grid. Here, I made a grid for you. Load this into the Photo Flood Fill plugin... ... Or simply use this for your map. Just remember: Two steps horizontal, one step vertical. Quote v An excellent open–source strategy game—highly recommended.  "I wish I had never been born," she said. Rubrica
I notice that you credited me for the website; please credit Myrddin. He showed us the original site on page 5, I just posted another page of the tutorial.
Myrddin
Thanks, Rubrica. Although, the link on the first page is the link which I gave, the one to the Basic Lines page, not your Grass page, so perhaps it's an indirect credit... Anyway, not arguing on credit, it's a website I thought would be useful to others and further others, not to lay claims to anything. I do thank you Rubrica for your consideration, though. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looking back on the first page, my Merlin character looks a little out of place, if you see what I mean, therefore, in light of such, I created my self in the pixel form which has now been adopted: Although, I thought to myself 'that looks too much like everybody else's, why not go for something a little different, garment-wise?'. Then that got me deliberating whether I should go for a historically accurate person of the 6th Century. Which led me to think 'no. Stereotyping for the win.': His beard doesn't show quite so well, but who cares, he's wearing slippers! And that's his cloak trailing behind him, not an extension to his slippers. So, k.digennaro, could you please replace the Merlin figure on the first page to this one above? Many thanks. And I dibs on the creation of a medieval castle.
