Image Umbrella: Realistic Images

I like all of these but the pencil and paper is the best.Excellent 3D work.

I think the bottom part of the burger bun seems a bit flat but otherwise it`s nice. Cheeseburger & chips for tea tonight !

The table is great although I keep thinking that the wood needs a bit more texture to really finish it off.

All in all a nice selection of pictures. Nice one csm725

@Oma - Thanks so much, I appreciate the feedback!

@Goonfella - Thanks! Yeah, as I said somewhere else (I think it was my gallery), the burger was a distraction from the Table Series, so I just threw it together, it is after all a WIP. I will incorporate all of the feedback I have recieved into v3.0 of it.

What do I think? Stunning! Especially as it`s your first painting . I think you`ve made a great job of the shadows and highlights on the horse as well as the colours. And the eye looks brilliant and finshes it off perfectly. Well done.

Thanks a lot for the response! I've done some coloring and stuff, but this is the first painting I've made from schratch (:

It's really very good. Very nice image over all. I did notice that the horse is missing an ear. Have you tried using the gradient tool to do some of the shading and hi-lites? You also might try using a blur on some of the colors to soften the edges so the transition between the colors is softer and more subtle. Looking forward to seeing more from you.

This is something I did last week.

This is my first attempt at Planet making.

I wasn't able to use Shape 3D because of no admin rights on my computer :(

But otherwise i think it turned out well.

Critiques are welcome.

(Hopefully the image isn't to big or graphics heavy)

The planet is transparent, and it doesn't look perfectly round. Texture is cool though.

Look at my planet tutorial for some tips if you want.

If you're not gonna use S3D you might wanna try out Bulge instead.

Make sure to paint over the shadow - you wouldn't have stars leaking through :P

Haven't tried bulge myself but the Lens effect often works good.

Just make a circular shaped selection somewhere on your texture and run the effect.

Afterward just cut the rest of the texture

Wow Falken that looks really good.

i like the color and texture of the planet it works good with the whole scheme of things.

The planet looks akward just sitting in the middle of the picture, maybe try moving it off to the side to give it more depth next time.

Good job though.

Falken,

Nice concept piece.

Interesting planet texture.

I get the impression those two don't

get along well with each other.

The one on the bottom. Australian? :)

Mayor_McSteeze,

Try to get whoever has an admin. account

to install some plugins for you, if you can,

it will make a big difference in what you can do.

Runaway space doodle.

I just wanted to see how well Simon's

new plugin does at saucer death-rays.

It's better than doing it manually.

Nice, but why didn't you use a trans. gradient to fade out the left-most planet? That takes away from the piece.

Now, for my spacescape rating system (As seen here):

Stars: N/A (15/35) - Every spacescape needs stars.

Clouds/nebulae: 17/25 - Nebulae are a little packed and un-natural.

Planets: 22/40 - minus 13 points on 1st planet's texture and glow, minus 5 on the lack of trans. gradient on the left planet.

54/100.

Nobody learns from just saying, "Nice job."
