Image Umbrella: Realistic Images

@ Yellowman ... great job, you always make your metal have that just 'buffed' look; way, way better than that candlestick of mine you liked

@ Goon' ... I'm going to repeat myself now ... Great job. I love the background, and I think JF is right, if the notes were a bit sharper it would lift the pages to match the sharpness of the guitars... if that makes sense :?

@ JerkFight ... yep I like the blue planet best, too. I'm not sure the lil' green planet works in front of the blue one ... but if you've seen my spacescapes, you'll know I don't know what I'm talking about

My best (IMO) realistic image for a while (***NO dolphins were harmed in the making of this image ...)

@ jerkfight I like the look of the stars. There is a nice variety of sizes and brightness to them. Good job. I also like the red planet the best. It has a nice rough texture that adds to it's realism. One thing though, and I could be wrong, but I think a more orangeish red would look better than the bluish/purpleish red. What I like best the the nebulous gaseous clouds. I would add a little more of that to the image.

@ Goonfella AWESOME ! Great image. I think the music sheets look fine. I wouldn't expect them to be as sharp in focus as the guitars. First of all they are not the subject of the image and they are also farther back in the image to have the same sharpness. I really like how you picked up the music and used it as the background, but to do it in a reverse blueprint effect is brilliant. The only critique would be that the wood grain of the guitars is identical. There should be some variation to the woodgrain pattern. Other than that, this is one of the best images I've seen on here.

@ Welshblue you must have the patience of a Saint. The detail in your image is astounding. The rock wall just blows me away. The moon, clouds, and stars are, again, so detailed it amazes me. The crates also, so detailed. Wonderful image ! And I'm glad that the dolphin was able to escape any injury in the process.

@ Welshblue you must have the patience of a Saint... ..Wonderful image !
Sums it pretty effectively ;)

Jerkfight, as it has been said, the stars are almost perfect. The picture has a nice alignment.

Goonfella, those guitars are just.. wonderful. Just the 'upper ends'(no idea what they're really called; that wedge-shaped piece that has the adjustment knobs :P) seem somehow.. off

I was trying to follow a tut and.. I saw another nice tut and another and they all got entwined and.. See for yourself :P

pretendingvaaleampipara.th.png 1000*1000 .png, all PdN except for a few brushes

(those words are from a song by HIM, named Pretending)

EDIT: This version's a bit lighter than the original

EDIT2: Adjusted the hue of the rings and smoothened the ring's shines

Constructive criticism is always appreciated :P

`Headstock' is the word I think you are searching for. :D

And yes , looking at them again it does seem a bit crooked. :?

As for your pic- Nice idea but I think it`s far too dark , which means those lovely gold rings don`t get shown to the best effect.

btw - I`ve straightened out the headstock.

Headstock..? Never heard, but it appears to be the right name :P They look much better now. Although, comparing to the guitar I have next to me.. They're a little short..?

I lightened my picture a bit and edited the post to show the new version. Please, an opinion
