FLNagle
NICE tree Yellowman! It never ceases to amaze me how doodling can turn into such incredible looking final products. I made a CD label for my band, I thought I'd throw it up. I have to admit that the whale/leviathan isn't entirely my work, I did somewhat trace this image: http://fascinatingly.com/wp-content/upl ... _whale.jpg But as you can see, they hardly even look similar. s2k7a
well, im obsessed with fire so heres my best so far... fire city is to big for the forum, its 3307x1384! http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/9157/firecityline1.jpg the s2k7a was bright red, the inside of sun was bright green, and i think he sun outline was dark red, with a dark blue backround..... clouds set to color burn made the fire blood red in some spots i copied the grim reaper idea from someone, forgot who
Goonfella
Hot stuff! I think the water reflection in the top one is not quite right though. A little less distortion perhaps? Have you thought of resizing Fire City down to a size suitable for the forum? You`ve got PDN so it`s easy to do. atypicalcarl
The fire effects rock. I've been toying with pdn for a couple of weeks now, and it's all I can do to keep from using fire in every creation. I'll probably regret sharing before I've mastered this... but here's something I did this morning (100% pdn) based on a compilation of several tutorials: Quote When computers become self-aware and take over the world, the porn bots will get much, MUCH worse. becauseiwantedto
Not bad! Don't be too down on yourself. The inside edge of the curve looks :AntiAliasingOff: though. Quote Changed the text in the signature yay! PDN gallery!
s2k7a
looks great to me, the tree is a little spunky, but i like it anyways... i just noticed how that style of grass is becoming quite popular, i wonder if some one could make a effect for making all kinds of grass, like that or like real grass... that would be so sweet
atypicalcarl
I appreciate the tips! I did a quick motion blur on the inside of the curve, and edited the post to fix (some of) the roughness. The tree was made using Ash's wood stems tutorial. I spent so much time wonking that tree with dents and bulges... I had to keep going with it. atypicalcarl
Sorry, Janetsue. I skimmed right over your tree. Very nice. The only thing I'd suggest would be a little more lighting and shading on the main stalk of the tree - but my home monitor is admittedly a little dark. stealthed- I like it. The rough lines give it a cartoon-ish but cool feel. I wouldn't change a thing. Quote When computers become self-aware and take over the world, the porn bots will get much, MUCH worse. EscapistAngel
atypicalcarl, that made me hungry I see there's a sudden pandemic of treemaking. *enjoying the results* A friend of mine tried to make a glass of wine in PdN.. I'm sorry to say this, but it was horrible soo.. My first-ever try at making a glass of wine I see all the little faults in it.. I'll do better next time Quote Please forgive my possible complaints. becauseiwantedto
Two major things that I'd like to point out because you say you caught many errors. 1. Too much of a black spot between the wine and the neck 2. The space where the neck meets the base needs serious touchups. BONUS 3. The top of the base is really :AntiAliasingOff: Quote Changed the text in the signature yay! PDN gallery!

Kemaru
@EscapistAngel: Great wineglass, even thought it's jagged at some points. I like the glass. @Pineapple: Wow, I really like how you did the monitor. I also like the wooden table. Awesome work!
