lynxster4 2,631 Report post Posted July 10, 2016 Here is a "realistic" image I did 100% PDN. Tools and effects included Gradient Fill, Lines Tool, Shapes Tool, Brush Tool, and Distort Liquify. Full SIze: http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q436/RydalS/Long%20Faced%20Ally%20Cat_zpsuhlebdcj.jpg Very nice image Rydal. Looks so real!

Drydareelin 222 Report post Posted July 30, 2016 I love the really subtle texture to it, and the eyes look great. Maybe you could add some shadows for the head and tail next time? Although that depends fully on the light's direction. I've already posted this to my gallery so I won't say too much but, http://orig06.deviantart.net/d1a3/f/2016/210/6/c/void_by_drydareelin-dabv95b.png Void 29/07/2016 I had another go at something a bit more realistic this time - apart from the star spikes which don't occur in nature! Rickhum 358 Report post Posted August 20, 2016 I haven't quiet worked out how to drive this forum business yet and I'm def' not ready to set up a gallery. I could use some hints and feedback though so am posting this recent pic of a yogi. All done in Pdn and is my first attempt @ shading with Gaussian blur. I hope I haven't made a faux pas posting here. I'm sure some one will let me know if I have.
Red ochre 1,469 Report post Posted August 20, 2016 That is absolutely fantastic Rickham! I hope you do start a gallery soon, I'd love to see more images of this quality on the forum. As for hints/constructive criticism, I can't see any obvious 'errors'. Perhaps consider 'dithering' the colour gradients a little? - As a smooth background to contrast the figure's texture? All personal choice though! Have you tried TR's 'Dodge and Burn' plugin? Pyro's 'Smudge' and 'Liquify' could also be useful for images like this. Ultimately, if it looks as you intended it to, then it is correct. Good work!

Woodsy 844 Report post Posted August 22, 2016 (edited) Hey Rickhum, looks good! Almost looks like you scanned it. On your settings page you'll see a signature tab. If you're going to use it for your signature you'll need to adjust the size. 500 px by 150 px Edited August 22, 2016 by Woodsy

C7007 5 Report post Posted February 10, 2018 A Doctor Who's TARDIS explosion, I've used some parts of this tutorial. https://imgur.com/a/FBImr I've cut some parts of a TARDIS png and applied motion blur, glow and color correction (with Curves+) to give the parts a "burning" look.
