Image Umbrella: Desktop Art

@Sharp: I like the concrete-like style of that picture, looks nice. a little touch up you could maybe try out is add some graffiti-like text?

Yeah, I have some grunge-y text on it on my actual background

Hah, nice. I remember making a random concrete texture edit once as a background, I use it on MSN lol:

original texture:

http://www.bu.edu/sjmag/scimag2008/imag ... ources.jpg

modified:

http://i32.tinypic.com/f1bfxk.jpg

its a link due to how large the picture is, sorry XD;

note: I didn't feel like uploading this to photobucket so i just used tiny pic lol

to the person above, i like the design/texture, but I don't like it as a desktop background because it's too dark for my liking... also I am a "noob" so my opinion doesn't matter :D I've been using paint.net casually for about a year now, and I want to start to get into it more because it's an awesome program... anyways, I snatched a couple renders online because I suck at cutting renders (I have to work on that) and I created this desktop... I took the left 4 dead logos, the rest I made myself

pic of my desktop (by the way paint.net just got added onto my desktop[/suckingup])

if anybody wants to use it....???? lol it'll make my day if someone does  also photobucket shrunk it a ton

EDIT: sorry, I read the rules, but not the advanced critique one... my bad

If those were all individual renders then great composition, but as a wallpaper I'd say it's a little too busy. The background is a little empty, too. But as I said, the composition is really good.

Here's a small handheld background. Feel free to use as your background, but don't modify it and post it somewhere else. (Modifying for PERSONAL use is allowed, though, if you ask me first)

You used Rotate/Zoom for that line effect, right? Anyway great job on it - especially since it's PDN.

Actually it's a lot simpler than that. I drew a curve on a new image, duplicated it, used Panelling, then repeated this like 5-6 times. :)

Things to keep in mind:

- Try not to post your image right after another user's. Allow some time for people to reply (or give an opinion yourself!)

anywya cool idea just the left and right edges where the <No cursing.> lines are is a lil blurry

here's my latest attempt at a desktop...I'm a bit too tired and lazy right now to attempt to stratch it to 1024X768...if anybody tries let me know the result
